A Touch of Sapphire

One of my most elegant and subtle pieces, and one of my favorites, even though it is over 5 years old now. I really like how the color of the paper is so much a part of this lovely Siamese angel. The bright sapphire blue of her eyes and her earring really make this piece, I think. I'm also pleased with the wings.

I used Pigma Micron 005 for the inked outlines, Prismacolor colored pencils for the color, and white gel pen for highlights and hair strands. The paper is beige memory book paper. I scan the drawings into my computer, so that makes the colors a little smoother than they really are.
