Description
This piece is pretty different for me. It's homework from my forth semester of Figure Drawing and Composition (love that class!) I was using emotions as a theme, though now that I think of it sleepiness is more of a state of being... anyway, it was fun to draw and to integrate humans and furries.
Top-down view is so tricky for me! It took lots of erasing, but overall I like it. The catboy hugging the redhead is a Birman. The catgirl is a snow leopard. I picked soothing colors to add to the sleepy feeling.
This one turned out very autobiographical for some reason The couple cuddling looks a bit like me and my ex, and I have a picture of me in almost the same pose as the snow leopard, only with the book over my face because I didn't want a picture taken of me *laughs* Oh, and can you tell this assignment required a background? I kept it simple, but I think it works.
I used Pigma Micron 005 for the inked outlines, Prismacolor colored pencils for the color, I don't think any gel pen this time. The paper is a nice fancy cotton type from the local university, as I was told if I was going spend 25-30 hours on a piece I had better do it on good paper *smiles* This one is bigger than my usual 8"x11", it's about 14" x 17" I think. And it's a little blue because my digital camera makes things that way, and my Photoshop skills aren't quite up to un-bluifying it.
